Winter Weekend for Two…

January 13, 2011

At this time tomorrow we’ll be about to depart for a Winter Weekend for Two in Walker, Minnesota. While some of you (yes, Bee, I’m talking to you) might be packing up your sundresses and swimsuits for your beach-front resorts, I am packing up my mittens and snow-pants in anticipation of our snowy weekend away.

Last year we spent a few days cuddled up in a cabin on Lake Superior—-we took a ferry to Madeline Island for lunch, sipped mochas at the local coffee shop, read books by our cabin’s fireplace and discovered the town’s nightlife. We had such a great time in the snowy wonderland that we decided short, weekend trips north had to become part of our winter tradition. So, this year we are off to Chase on the Lake—-We’ll be paying a visit to the resort’s Aveda Spa, enjoying dinner at The 502, entertaining ourselves with some bowling and getting our adrenaline fix with a day of snowmobiling.

So, if I seem absent from the blog for a few days don’t be alarmed, I’m just having a phenomenal time buried in snow with my honey during a Winter Weekend for Two.

Want to plan your own weekend with Chase on the Lake in Walker, Minnesota? Check out their website, and if I were you, I’d plan it for February 17-20 so you can hit up the Chase The Pout festivities.
