You know how there are some things you’d rather just stay in denial about? Like how many calories are in your favorite ice cream  or whether or not your favorite jeans have gotten a bit too tight (it was the dryer, no seriously)? Well, some of those things are better left in the dark, but other things, well, we should just get to the bottom of. One of those things is the unsanitary conditions in Nail Salons (read articles about it from Oprah, Southern Living and I love a good $30 mani/pedi as much as the next girl, but the facts are that those tools they’re using on you are more than likely contaminated with other people’s toe funk. And that, well that is just plain gross.

Enter the answer to all your salon problems, the PediPack. I can’t believe the genius behind this product (well, the company is operated by three women, so, I guess I know where the genius comes from) but how was this not available before? Anyways, here it is ladies, a small, portable, personal set of manicure and pedicure tools to take with you to the salon to ensure that the tools being used on you have only been used on you. The PediPack sells for only $40 and comes with everything listed below:

The website states that all the tools can be sanitized using hot water and bleach, and that the travel case is machine washable. Fabulous. So, now that we’ve solved the sanitation issue we just need to tackle the language barrier, because I really want to know what the nail techs are saying about me. Order your very own PediPack right here (and hey, there’s some on sale for $30 right here).

Thank you for this! This is fantastic! I get the occasional pedi but have always wondered how sanitary they were with some of the instruments as well as the foot bath itself.

I’ve always wondered how they could even sanitize things like files that are mostly made of cardboard or foam….seems kind of impossible. I also kind of wonder what their reaction would be when you roll in with one of these? I’m totally willing to find out, though.
