Coffee Culture…

February 24, 2011

When Josh and I first met in college, he asked if he could take me out for coffee. I thought it was so cute, but since I didn’t drink coffee I let him take me out for one of the biggest cups of hot chocolate I had ever had the pleasure of sipping. With whip cream. And sprinkles. Shortly after our date  he gave me the song “Falling in Love in a Coffee Shop” by Landon Pigg, and that song has reminded me of our first coffee shop experience ever since. It’s hard to believe four years have passed by already!

Sitting around (and falling in love) in Coffee Shops became one of our past-times, and when I moved to the cities and we started dating seriously you could often find us holed up at the nearest coffee joint with our noses in our laptops. Now that we have an apartment together, with a spacious and well-organized office, we run off to coffee shops a lot less often. But that doesn’t mean I don’t still love them. Coffee-shopping is a culture. One that requires comfy clothes, cute scarves, and notebooks for writing down all of those fabulous ideas that occur to you over a hot cup of java.

This really makes me want to load up my bag and head off for a day of productivity. Today’s Inspiration: Scarf, Top, Leggings, Shoulder Bag, Jimmy Choo Laptop Case, Notebook, IKEA Markers, Coffee Scented Candle, Pears to-go Cup, I’m all Astonishment to-go Cup, Striped to-go Cup, Lyrics from “Falling in Love in a Coffee Shop” by Landon Pigg.
